Wonderful weather for this years "Claytons Festival" - the festival you have when not having a festival. We had a family issue and had to come home early today - should still be there until tomorrow but it couldn't wait.

For those of you that get the emails and messages from the social pages of the festival organisers, you would have been aware that they had organised for kombi owners to send through video that could be included in a broadcast from 7.30pm last night with live music streaming and compared by Andy from The Block. Little Red was used in the broadcast and we got to watch the bands live from the studio - even that was something that we have missed since this year has been such a struggle.

Here is the link if you didn't watch last night.

I checked with Wendy and Fizal and everyone who was booked into the fence line sites last year will be transferred automatically onto the same spots next year unless you cancel. The lady was going to check so I left Pats name to make sure.

He may get a call when they have a chance.

And just when I thought a cabin would be good for 2021 at Lanis “party central”, I’m told the “Festival Carny people” have them booked. :(

Home now and , sort of, unpacked.
    Another fantastic Old Bar trip.
Really fortunate that we were able to attend within NSW’s borders....
Many of the usual suspects attended but some much loved were absent.
Monday afternoon’s traditional bocce tournament was taken out by John Sutton, despite Therese’s distracting nail polish strategy :p
Slow pack up this morning as the clouds rolled in closing off another memorable (non) event.
Great to catchup with many KC regulars.
    Cheers,
    Mark

Finally found time for a debrief.

Firstly, what perfect weather for a casual get together. Awesome to catch up with so many regulars here, and great to meet a few newbies, and non KC members as well.

I see on the news that the North Connex tunnel, is again, almost open. Pity they couldn’t have done it for the holiday weekend, which would have taken around 1.5 hours off my journey in the expected 1st gear / stationary traffic on the M2 and Pennant Hills Road. Maybe next year it will actually be open???

What always amazes me about any KC gathering, is the interesting conversation, about such diversified subjects, and it’s always such a pleasure. :)

I know other marque car meetings, where the conversation is basically about chrome, paint & pistons, and little else.

Let’s hope that 2020 is solely a year like no other, and 2021 re opens all the other events that have been cancelled this year, and allows more catch ups for us all.

    Cheers.
