    Hi all,

    Sunnyjim's indicator switch has kaput.
    A replacement is a whopping $411.

Has anyone had success with another type? Late bay into lowlight?

    Generic brand ?

Is this the one you are after, stuff I'm glad I have always owned a 76 model, reckon I have replaced 3 or 4 of mine over the years and they cost nothing in comparison to these, anyone know what has happened to the Aussie Just Campers site, cheers Greg

Thanks Mark, I have been trying to get on there with my iMac for about a week and thought that the site was down, just clicked on your link again and it won't open for some reason, tried on my mobile and it opened straight away so it's an issue with my iMac, cheers Greg

Yes looks like the part. This will be the 3rd one i put in.
Jk aussie had them for $411. A bit pricey. So just wondering is there a better option

There are generics on Ebay for less than $40 , the electrical is easy but mounting with the collar looks hard, a bit of customization.

    Guys thanks for the posts.

So can we conclude no one has fitted a late bay type into early bay?

you will be able to fit anything up to early 1974. 1975 on wont even come close. All the aftermarket ones look the same and look like they come from the same chinese warehouse.

Far as I know it's never been done. Is there something wrong in the system if you are up to your third replacement or are all replacements been reproduction parts that have failed? Whats causing them to fail?
Original items are best but getting them can be difficult.

I replaced it about 9 years ago, and I guess as a small piece they are very mechanical. Bit of bakelite in there too.
I might have to sit down with it and see if I can fix it

Agree the originals are heaps better.
I bought one for my 69 kombi but managed to fix the original so I kept it and sold on the after market version...
