I’m guessing a backpacker couldn’t get a sale before leaving.

Bargain parts bin at that price

Interesting that the VIN plate lists it as a Kombi Van.
    There’s THAT argument settled !
Looks dirt cheap for what it is........

Obviously a lot happens in 5 years.
    Registered in Vic.
Again, I am guessing it fell into the hands of backpackers

    Update !
I know the new owner :D
He is going to join KC and give us the full story.......
    It’s now resident in NSW.
A new battery and it fired into life straight away;)
Idles well through full range.......no oil or water leaks either.
May well be the buy of the decade.
I have been assured that The General Vee will ride again
    Cheers,
    Mark

Wonder if the Confederate flag is stashed away inside somewhere.

Good to hear it is alive.

Always good to hear a happy ending

The T3 is the ultimate, most spacious, best handling, best performing rear engined transporter there ever was. I even considered bidding on the General Vee and would have if it was in NSW.

    But then I have a '71 and a '65 as well as the '91 auto. I just wish I had a manual T3 again. I wish I had kept my '84 and '87. I've room for a fleet here!!!

Looks like my assessment was too conservative. Great to hear it is running well & will be saved. And KC has a new T3 member :)

Glad it didn’t just end up with a wrecking yard.

Good to see it still around. A mate in Gloucester owned it about 20 years ago. I remember doing some paintwork on it and putting a new radiator in it for him.
