Thanks @KahunaKombi I'll give them a try and see what I end up with.regards Wayne
Testing photo upload direct from phone.
To get the full size image, once you’ve posted, go back and click “edit”.
You’ll see “more options” , click on that, then you’ll see the small image.
Then click “full image” next to your pic.
Last thing to do is “save changes” and you’ll see your post with the full size image.
I’m not impressed with the thought of needing photobucket because I lost too many photos last time. It seems most of my photos are too large to simply upload - is there another way?
There are a few ways to resize your pics. before uploading…...usually found in the edit function of your photo library… or using a third party editing app like Pxlr.com
Photos need to be less than 1 Mb ….to post, without resizing
With an Apple device, this equates to the “medium” size when you edit your pic.
Cant really speak to Androd devices….haven’t tried.
That sounds like it is based on working from your computer, yes?
I'd like to be able to upload from my phone, bypassing the need to upload my photos to a computer.
If you choose to attach a photo to an email to send from your phone, don’t you get a choice of size? Are you using and Iphone or android?
Is the red bus your latest acquisition?
A few here have the app on their phone and go from there….
I’ve found the simplest way is pics. on my IPad and uploaded to KC .
I tend to use my phone for calls and messages only, so am a bit of a ludite with photos…..other than taking them
No, I don't get the option... I'm on iPhone.
Yes indeed. I'm enjoying the lockdown for being able to do a rolling resto - I'm trying to start a thread to tell the story
I'm going to give the app a chance....
Have you tried just emailing the pic to yourself (assuming you have email on your phone), then upload the pic from the email?
I’ll see how my wife’s iPhone works when she gets home tonight….might be able to sort it out then.
another test from the phone app
edit: nah, no one wants that
It seems that to embed photos I need to pay photobucket...
@OberonViking , Robert,
Uploaded from my Iphone……..I’ll go through the sequence, and see if your phone will do the same.
Once logged in, in the reply window, click “Upload a File”….
then "Choose File"
Then click “Photo Library”…..
Scroll through your pics and then select the one to upload…….
When you select the pic you want, the size will show at the bottom. In this case the actual pic is 5.1 MB.
Click on “Actual Size”, and a choice of sizes comes up. Pick one less than 1 MB. In this case “Large” is suitably less than 1 MB.
Click “Large”, then “Use”, top right, and it will upload. Then click “Full Image” at the bottom……..then “Post Reply”.
Thanks Barry....my bad
Fixed up my post accordingly.
Thank you Grantus!
