Hi just wondering if anyone has put power steering in their bay (mine's a 74), and if so, is it an electric kit? Tia

You either have “power steering” ( with the arms)..... or “wooz steering” (where the finger tips tell the electronic bits to do the work). ;)

Maybe sell the Kombi, and buy a new VW - they ALL have it!

They're bit like that here Tracee:). Good luck with the 'wooz steering' install;).
Cheaper to get gym membership:p. You may find that use of the throttle changes the weight on the front wheels & makes turning easier than Armstrong;).
You want to turn at slow speed ....throttle is on...front gets lighter....turn easy. (confined space sign just went out:oops:).
You want to turn at high speed ...throttle is off ..(front gets heavier performs better due to the weight transfer to the front).....turn...throttle is on to 'drive' out of the corner.:D
    Cheers
