R&R bed fit with middle seat???

    gday all

    i have just istalled a middle seat in my 69, and know my R&R bed cant fold out, is there a way i can get this to work by still having the middle seat????

    could i make the base of bed\ seat shorter??

    has anyone done it before

    I gave this a lot of thought too Chris. In the end I decided that, as I would only be folding out the RnR bed occasionally it woud be easier to unbolt the middle seat and turn it facing the other way when I wanted the bed down.

    I THINK the same people who made the z-bed hinges are developing a mechanism that slides the middle seat forwards. I could've imagined that in my dreams, though.
    :lol:

    Good thinking emby...thats a nice simple idea mate.

    Nah you didn't dream it Thomas,its out now apparently.:)
    But embys idea works for me.

    Oooh, really?
    In my curiousity, I couldn't find info on it anywhere.
    I'd probably prefer to put a cupboard and stuff in mine than a middle seat anyway.

    I just read the whole 16 page thread about those Z-bed hinges.
    Now I won't feel upset about paying $500+ for a set, cause I know how much damned effort has gone into their production!
