Nothing here at Manly west.......divides and goes around us. This site has helped me try to be a bit charitable..and be thankful others who need it more than me are getting it.

    Still dry.....

Predicted 10mls, last Thursday night..... gave us just 2mm, with about 13" of wind, to totally remove any moisture.

Dry before, and dry since.

Did you guys up north get last nights storm? I hope you just got plenty of rain and no damage.

We still need more rain here but it is amazing how the property is already recovering with the bit we had, I even had to mow the patchy grass:D

I hope Santa brings the much needed rain for you all.

    TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING - SOUTHEAST QUEENSLAND

    for FLASH FLOODING

For people in the LOCKYER VALLEY, LOGAN CITY, GYMPIE, IPSWICH CITY, SCENIC RIM, SOMERSET, SOUTH BURNETT, TOOWOOMBA, CHERBOURG SHIRE and parts of the BRISBANE CITY, GOLD COAST CITY, MORETON BAY, DALBY, SOUTHERN DOWNS and SUNSHINE COAST Council Areas.

Issued at 1:59 pm Wednesday, 23 December 2009.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 1:55 pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on weather radar near Boonah and the ranges between Gympie and Murgon. They are forecast to affect Harrisville and Peak Crossing by 2:55 pm.

Very heavy rainfall and flash flooding are likely.

Thunderstorms that develop in this area during the next few hours will be slow moving and therefore likely to produce locally heavy falls.

Emergency Management Queensland advises that people should:
    * Avoid driving, walking or riding through flood waters.
    * Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
    * Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
    * Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
    * For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.

The next warning is due to be issued by 2:55 pm.

A more general severe thunderstorm warning is also current for the Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett and parts of the Central Highlands and Coalfields, Darling Downs and Granite Belt and Southeast Coast districts.

Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 219. The Bureau and Emergency Management Queensland would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.

Wish we could get a warning like that.
Sky is threatening & I can hear thunder but it probably won't come to much.:(
I estimate I'll be buying water in the first week of January.

    Whats rain again?

The weather boffins have given us storm and severe weather warnings for the past 3 days but have not received a single drop of any precipitation in any shape or form.

Mind you the humidity is roughly 137%
