Is anyone worried what all this crazy rain is doing to their kombi/bug, because I am
No, i like rain
[kinda makes it fun to drive in the wet]
-obviously im a p-plater
U must have a giant shed to protect all ur vws then
So its the only time your car will break traction:lol:
You should see Shane's shed/workshop/beer drinking place.
I had to do a wedding today on the Goldie....I pulled in for fuel at a servo near the brides place & was in line paying for my petrol & a few guys in the line start telling me where to park my kombi when I leave there, as its going to hail very soon.... ....man did I freak out....
There would of been NO way I would be picking up ANY bride if it started hailing down .
Maybe Mercy needs a Necro kombi kap for the roof?
Had the joy of journeying down to Brisbane for G's CF clinic today.
Just made it before the storm hit and we watched it unfold from the Royal Childrens Hospital window. Quite a spectacular show.
Then we had the joy of getting back in the Beetle (the kombi's, Otis and Wilfred are at the vet's along with the Berlingo) and watched it pour down all the way back to the Sunshine Coast.
It's an empty carpark beneath the house tonight. Only the 58 and 72 Beetles along with the jetski.
Hopefully we get the kombi's back early next week. I need something to take the boards to the beach and I am seriously looking at putting some racks on the 72!
Was speaking to old dubber and he was getting it at Everton Hills and laughing it was coming my way - ended up dumping 34mm of rain but no hail and black as.
re: Penrith NSW Hail Storm
I watched helplessly as my Kombi got hammered with golf sized hail stones. Fortunately I was mostly parked under a tree which seems to slow down the intensity of hail. (thank god the tree didn't fall on the car either). The car next to me didn't fair so well (it wasn't parked under a tree). Usually I complain about parking under a tree cause the birds always poop on the car. This time the tree may have saved me. (Although in saying that I have a few rust spots on my roof that could have done with a respray !!)
Don im drinking all the beer, you better hurry up before its all gjh6758eft58169 oops sorry just fell of my chair, better get another beer:lol:
well its official shes leaking.............
made me giggle seeing the last post with all the heavy rain we've had in Victoria it rained through the hatch and I had a waterfall inside the sliding door! Fixed the hatch leaks but can't work out where the wateer is coming in through the door she's closing flush and the seals are good - anyone had the same problem?
Two years ago we had Black Saturday this time of the year. Prefer the rain!
If you've had enough of it send it west, we need rain desperately....
