recognize this radio?

    i'm tarting up this trannie, and wonder if anyone knows the make....

    it has australian ID's on it, but the vw logo, so i'm guessing it was an australian maker....

    no, only a catalogue number which doesn't scan with our old friend johnny google.

    Had an identical one in a 64 Mk1 Cortina. Pretty sure it was an AWA. Lo, Med, Hi buttons were for tone control.......(Wish I'd kept both..........)Cheers, Mark

    thanks for the interest comrades ;awa and ferris crossed my mind, but haven't seen anything archived on image searches.....
    may have to freestyle it and cod up a 'nearest the pin' look.
