Hi all, firstly Bern if you see this mate my phone is in my mates car heading to Redcliffe.(will call tomorrow if below questions havent been answered)

Hope you can help, we went away camping this weekend to Flannagons Reserve and we were fully loaded, camp gear, 3x people etc. We also had a bit of a head wind also. Question, I have a "savemybug" installed and my oil light started to flicker so my engine was running 107-110 degress celsius, is this to high? i was cruising at about 95kmph and there is a few hill etc aswell.

Question 2, i have a buggered engine door seal and the door pops open when i drive, will this make the engine run higher temps on the highway? Will get a new seal anyway.

Question 3, I have NO heater installed which is fine but obviously the blower ducts are still in place, should i blank these off? would these make the engine run hotter?

What is a good highway oil temperture anyway?

I am going to get a full service done anyway but thought i would ask the experts haha.

    thanks team

Definitely block off the heater vents.
Ensure the seals between tubes and tinware are in place as well.
Check rest of tinware for gaps and sort.
    Plus door should be sealed
Given all conditions the temp nothing to panic about.

Seals should be avail from jk etc.
    Maybe mick motors.
Think the round tube is about 44mm ID ?
Check it. There are Welch plugs avail from auto parts mob that will press fit.
The oval side you will need to fabricate a cap from light metal.
    Not hard.
    Silicone into place if necessary.
