Sad day today

    Just found out our son and his family lost their dog today. Lovelly king charles girl by the name of Sheika, put down today, very ill. only 9 years old.:heart:

    My sympathies go to your family.We had our dog Rose put down last year after 15 wonderful years of companionship.One of the toughest days of my life.

    Warm hugs to your son and his family, we have four dogs and I dread the day they are no longer with us.:(

    Such sad, sad news Brian. So sorry for the loss of their very special family member. It never gets easier, they give so much and ask for so little in return. She will be waiting at Rainbow Bridge.

    But sadly, inevitable.

    Hard as it is, I still reckon it outweighs the exchange of joy and love they give over the time whilst they are with us...:heart:

    So sorry to hear that Brian. We had to put our boxer down - riddled with cancer - 5yrs ago & I still get emotional thinking about that horrible, horrible day. It took 2 yrs before we we were ready to get another & now that we have, we couldn't be happier. As Kris posted, time will make it easier. I felt a lot closer to our first dog than I have felt towards some "friends" that have passed on........
