It was a beautiful spring day, with a larger turnout then what was expected. A special thanks to @Zip for organising this event. Palm Beach must of had an event on and it was jammed packed. The large group got broken up with some finding parking at Palm Beach and another small group ending up at Avalon ovals with a delicious pie shop up the road.

How much fun was THAT !!!!
Nth Beaches Cruise kept up to its expectations once again.
35 ish Kombis (did someone count) of all shapes plus a couple of cool rat beatle's
Slight offshore breeze made the tubular waves sparkle in the sun as we cruised the Manly beach front, then via the beaches of Harbord, Curly, Dee Why, Collaroy, along ocean St to Narrabeen & Warriewood for a coffee at Mona Vale beach.
No doubt the passing convoy of kombi's unknowing gave inspiration to the 1,000's of people we passed slugging it through 'the bloody long walk' walkcure mitochondrial disease from Palmy to Manly, 35km..... they raising $480,000
Could spend hours taking in the sun with a cuppa chatting around at Mona Vale, bit late departing for leg 2 to Palm Beach & so could'nt find a carpark for us all to fit in & got split up, a few of us went back to Avalon sports field & had pie's from nth Av pie shop & continued our jabbering anything kombi, next time maybe we could use handheld radio's to communicate.

No better way to depart the chill of winter & welcome the warmth of spring than a Nth Beaches Kombi run, thanks to all that travelled distance to be there, onya Zip.

A big thanks to everyone for coming out. A spectacular day showcasing all the northern beaches has to offer. A good number of Kombis (31 by my count) with only one casualty (we lost John up the small hill into Warriewood). (did anyone else see the lovely old lady outside Mona Vale soccer fields jumping up and down waving in PURE excitement...hadn't seen a kombi since 1967!!)
Lot's of new faces to the kombi group and the northern beaches cruise which was great to see.
A shame we could't all fit into Palmy for lunch .. need to look into the council sponsoring our cruise and reserving spots for us all. Will work hard on finding the best locations for the whole group ready for the Autumn cruise next year.
Look forward to seeing you all at Old Bar.......
Beer donations for organising always welcome.
