Has anyone used these vents on their T3 before?

Do they do a lot to reduce the temperature inside the van?

The reason I ask is because we have no way of allowing fresh air in without risking someone unlocking the door and these look like the perfect solution.

The only problem is that we have a curtain that hangs across behind the front seats and I'm worried that the 15-20 cms between the curtain and the roof won't be enough to allow the air into the back of the van.

Anyone got a set of these that they have had good results from?

Any other (cheaper) ideas to allow fresh air in without allowing people access to the locks on the doors?

You can test drive them for us.:D

I saw them in the UK, but they were too heavy to bring home. They look well made.

    Haha!
How do you keep the inside of the van cool at the moment? Window open?

It would be cool if there were some sort of security screen door you could attach to the inside of the sliding door frame so that you could just leave the door open at night.

I used to leave the sliding door open until at Lake Mungo one night a huge feral cat decided to join me.

Now I just open the sliding window in the side. It has a fly screen.

Where did you get the screen from? Do they fit standard across all T3's?

    Mrs Syncro made it.
We just got the plastic coated spring and made a loop and sewed fly screen into it. It just sits in the channel when the sliding window is open.

I have a pair of these vents and used them for the past couple of years. They do keep the temps down when we are camped and need to keep the van locked. They allow air in at night but give security and don't allow in the rain.

    Screen

Can you possibly take a picture of this screen so I can get a better idea of how to put one together myself?

Good to know. I might end up forking out the dough if the heat gets unbearable.
