Does anyone know how to remove a stuck barrel lock screw on a tailgate lock, I've tried and pretty much mashed the screw head.

Or does anyone have a tailgate lock for sale for a 74 that way I won't be afraid if I stuff mine up.

Trying to re-key my tailgate to match my other keys....

Hi Burnstar: Looking at the first photo the grub screw looks like it still there and hasn't been touched to much. You need screw driver with a fine tip.( the same they use for glasses) The screw is about 10mm up from the bottom of the barrel (opposite end to where the key is)Once the screw is out wiggle the barrel out with the key and keep the key in the barrel as it will hold all the brass keys in place. (If you don't they might fly out. As they are spring loaded)
I've only got an later one, that is black instead of chrome . I can give it a go ,if you have any trouble.
