Great stuff Rick....recognise all those spots from our trip too.....Personally, I’d drive on through Hobart. For me, the Salamanca markets were, well, markets......and not that fabulous.....but I’d your wife is anything like mine....you’ll be spending a day there ....plenty more to see !
    Travel safely, cheers,
    Mark

I have to agree with Mark - they are a bit over-hyped.

Forgot to add......how good is it, that almost every bakery has their own take on a scallop pie !
I did a “scallop pie” tour of Tassie......and would do it again ina heartbeat !

While in Hobart, you might like to see where women are made.......
    The Cascade Women’s Factory.....
.....but seriously.....a really well preserved and modernised historic site, well worth a visit.
    Cheers,
    Mark

You guys are harsh - love Salamanca markets

$20 for 50ml bottles of Nant Whiskey & some great food stalls and some great music.

If you like steel guitar slide blues, there is a young guy called “Magnus”

    https://www.mangusandco.com/

He just plays some of the best music in the middle of Salamanca

And the Laundromat Cafe behind does brilliant brunch.

Jack Green - not sure if they are the best pub that sell burgers or the best burger bar that sells beer

I did the "seafood basket" tour and the best one was in Queenstown Pub.

    Change in plans tomorrow.
Mona is closed on Tuesdays (not advertised on line, said 7 days a week)
So Port Arthur tomorrow, Mona Wednesday morning and the lookout over Hobart in the arvo.
Means Lime bay free camping out and a southern loop in with a camp on the way.
    More pics soon.

Make sure you catch the Mona Roma out to Mona - great fun

If you are short of somewhere to eat (doubt it) Da Angelo's and Jackman & McRoss are 2 great places on Hampden Road

Looks like you are having a ball.
Btw can’t agree with Mel and Mark about Salamanca. Been to a lot of markets on the mainland and even though I might be biased, there isn’t anything quite like it, but each to his own.

Heading home today from the boat.

Went for a drive on the Channel Hwy through Huonville, Cygnet, Verona Sands, Woodbridge and ended up in a nice little spot called Snug.

Decided to leave Bruny island till next time
