Yep - lots of stuff that you will talk about for hours after. I love it. Did you see the cloaca machine ( the pooper)?
yep The room full of used oil at waist height stunk. I don't think they realise that stuff is carcinogenic
Yesterday we left Snug and drove up to Mount Wellington lookout. the view from there over Hobart is stunning. Not too many kombis up there.
We left Hobart and drove to Bothwell and Great Lake, a forgettable place (unless your into trout fishing) Scenery was harsh (rocks and rubble) This area cops snow (we were at 1200m) and the surrounding mountains look like they are breaking apart and crumbling. We intended to camp at Miena but gave it a miss. We ended up in Deloraine and found a nice camping spot in the middle of town run by Apex
Didn't travel far today, in a camp ground at Gowrie Park (cloths washing day) (that's the last pic above) Tomorrow we've got a room at Peppers at Cradle Mountain. The weather is closing in and their expecting snow above 700m. More to come.
Sounds like one of our Tassie tours. Room at Cradle Mountain with a a hot bath, a wood fire and a glass of red while it stormed outside. Debrief after a week of Kombi! Thanks for the pics. Brings back a few memories and inspires a revisit.
Cradle Mountain, a balmy zero degrees, hail then snow. Took the shuttle to lake Dove, checked out glacier rock and then the weather closed in. Did a long walk back down and got soaked with sleet and snow. Some pics Hope the weather is a little better tomorrow as we want to walk some more before heading off to Burnie. Anyway in Peppers at the moment drinking a cheeky little red and warm as toast. Cheers
Ah...Spring in Tassie. Awesome one day & freezing the next. Check out the art gallery next to the oval in Burnie. Dad used to train runners for the Burnie Gift on that West Park oval next door. The Burnie Gift foot race has been running since before federation. I used to hang around there & score free change in the gutter of the grandstand after events & go & buy lollies with my mate at the corner store (Mr Brammage). Once we found cigarettes & tried them behind the rocks. Was 7 yrs old. Still trying to stop smoking them. Just done 3 weeks without the habit. Cheers
Best art in Mona is the painting that is the label on the Moo Brew series of ales ! Well, in my opinion...... We spent three days on Bruny.....needed three weeks. Good call to visit next time..... Cheers, Mark
The cabin we were in We left the mountain this morning (still raining and miserably cold) Drove to Burnie and had lunch in the surf club. Payed a visit to your parents house not far away @David H A nice spot and a great view. (no. 19, I thought you told me no.10, can't remember, couldn't remember where the post was)

The Nut looks busy as usual, not even anyone out fishing on the wharf, it's a lovely spot, looks like you guys are having a wonderful holiday, I missed you on your way down past Tilba as I was over Goulburn working, if you are coming back up the coast again and we are around it would be great to catch up with you guys on your way through, cheers Greg
Ah...Taswegia beautiful one day and f***ing freezing the next. Do your best to catch up with Greg & Katherine @onetrackwonder on your way home. He's not as technical as you Rick but could do with some help reassembling his motor Cheers
