    "Years ago I made a dining table for the house. I could never get the finish right. So today I tried some Ankor wax and a buff. She came up a treat.
    Here are some pics. The toy car is to show the reflection."

    Just to clarify John, was the Ankor Wax put on over the previous finish, or did you sand the Canadian Hard Rock Maple back to raw timber before the Ankor Wax was applied? :rolleyes:

    sanded it back first. Used a Festo RO 150 sander, with 2000 as the finishing grade (from memory).
    Then using the same Festo, but a buffing pad on it (same as I use on cars) for the ankor wax.
