    G’day all

cleaning up wiring in my 76 2l

I have a electrical wire running through the back of the engine bay just left of the starter motor D bolt nut. It is connected via a 3 pin plug into the number 10 position of the diagnostic plug. I’m assuming this is another sensor for diagnostic purposes?

    Any ideas?

From what I can determine pin 10 appears to be for the Left turn signal.
It's not the normal route for it though ??

Maybe at some stage the left rear blinker wireing has failed and a new wire re run for it??

Reports that say that something is on the dashboard are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known wiress; there are wires we know we know. We also know there are known unknown wiress; that is to say we know there are some wires we do not know. But there are also unknown unknown wires- the wires we don't know we don't know.

No fine. I’m pretty sure my mother was not standing at the time, so no finable offence was committed. ;)
