Anyone ever come across a set of reduction boxes without the part that the shock absorber to bolt onto?
I have a gear box, axle and reduction boxes which came with the Kombi I recently purchased, then realized I could not connect the shock to the reduction hub.
Is some thing missing, I have attached a photo.
    Would appreciate anyone thoughts.

    SUMMARY.
after making inquiries to some very well known VW experts regarding this reduction box it seems that the support for the shock absorber was cut off.
Perhaps this axle/gearbox was used in a Country buggy or Thing.
I am currently having a plate engineered that bolts to the reduction box which will include a support for the shock.
Hopefully it will all work out.

Ha ha! I have definitely been the culprit of cutting a few of these off for use on buggies :D
