Hi and thanks to all for a great time, hi to everyone I met, hope to meet more at further outings but don't expect that i will remember any names, keep forgetting my own. Hope I will be able to hear a bit better next time, I think Margaret got sick of being my interpreter and it's real hard to have a good chat when you can't hear what's being said.
Loved the cruise up with Annie and Don and the Troopers. Thanks Don for the outer Western suburbs site seeing trip, may have never seen some of those places without your guided tour. Sorry to the troopers for the unscheduled rust proofing, Kombi's bum was covered in oil dots by the time we got home.
I will have to work on Kombi and Margaret for the picnic in the highlands, maybe if I let Margaret drive in the cruise she might get more into it.
Margaret enjoyed meeting up with you all and meeting some of her friends from the now defunked NSW VW clubs that she was a member of for so many years.
Not sure if car shows are our thing really, love the cruise and the socialising though. Margaret had to drive home because I started to enjoy the socialising a little more than the breathaliser would allow.

Interesting that there are no blondes in the group though. They must go for the dark colours to keep warm in the cool climate.

I too had a few smart a#@rse comments to make about the girls, but in balance, the girls were a very very small part of the day. The comments, even less. The best part of the day for sure would have to have been meeting up with so many great people who I have the priliedge of calling friends, and to see familiar and new busses, to celebrate the achievements of some of our members (RHCW comes to mind immediately), to support others and their undertakings (Kyra you, your mum and your gear rocks - ask anyone) and to have a day out with the family where we can all unashamedly immerse ourselves in our shared hobby - the humble VW...and buy a few more toys :lol::lol:

The fact that there were so many KC members there who had travelled so far, to see the vehicles and for most, to have another great opportunity to catch up, says something very powerful about our online community.

Can we move on with the celebration and put the crap on some other forum please? It is surely not what we are about ?

I am really looking forward to the event on the 21st in the Southern Highlands.

Congratulations Scott. I've always been impressed by the appearance of your T3.

I actually got the equivalent of best T3 (before they were commonly called that) at the Nationals in 1988! Admittedly it was barely 5 months old at the time and competition was rather thin on the ground.

I'm pleased to hear it wasn't just me & normally I get them wholesale. Also shirts, a man can NOT have too many tee shirts!:p
It was a fabulous day & great to catch up with all of those whom i only knew from on line chatter & time wasting.
Miss Leah & Maverick, if you make it to Sutton Forest I still owe you both a drink, but only soft drink for Mav.
