Some pictures from today... It was a slow day!
Great pics as usual
I agree, they’re awesome pics. Thanks
Phil, your van looks super shiny
Thanks Greg. Great pics for those of us too lazy to get up early.
Its Gregs artistry, he can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear
I'm flattered. Embarrassingly I got there and realised I had left the camera battery at home on the charger. So had to resort to the phone...
T3s are the best (not biased I have a T1, T2 and T3)
Hedy Lamarr (the black and white American) and Iseult (the gold and white English). Dang! Wrong forum again
Congrats to Scott with his 2nd place trophy for his well deserved bus:
And to the owner of this best T3 award: (The aircooled one on the left)
And I don’t see many T3 Single Cabs around, but what do I see in my mirrors 2 cars back , whilst waiting to check in ?
Worth the slow drive Luckyphil?
Good work folks. Photos greatly appreciated.
Glad to see you finally got it out of the carport Brad (a dry day!!). Worth the effort to get a place.
Thanks for the pictures Greg & Grant - that early 2 tone T3 sure looks tidy
Had a long chat with the owner. It was an impressive vehicle. Although the other in the picture is my brother's so I'll feign disappointment.
Yes do like the look of that brown/tan T3
Which I thought was going to pick up the award....... but alas not.
We went up Friday night and stayed in suburbia with family which was nice, left for home late yesterday and got home around 11.30pm so was a long day and the van ran strong both up and back so a great weekend in all, we entered our car just to be part of the action and to meet some new people, our beast is no show car but had lots of interest just the same, here are few pics of Komb's that I took at the event, cheers
The green and white Westfalia below was the winner of the T2 section, our car parked next to it made it look even better, ha
Great photos all.
It was a fun day - but a little concerned with the amount of vehicles and trade people there in the show. A lot of great ones in the car park as usual but a few gaps in the ranks inside.
Hopefully it picks up again next year
Thanks for the photos by all above,.
I have to agree with you it looked like a little vacant in cars, the swap meet and trade stands. It seems to be missing something.
I’d have to agree, I also don’t understand why some of us were so closely packed in when clearly that was a lot more space available
I think they were hoping for a lot of late arrivals. Seems that massive expensive entry fee of $30 kept them away.
Have to admit that my interest in the Nats. has waned over the years....
Lots of show ponies with owners' egos larger than their buses..
( not everyone mind you, but trying to have a conversation with a non-KC member was like pulling teeth last time I was there.)
The swap section had shrunk ....and the for sale area had lots of inflated prices for pretty ordinary parts in my opinion.
I was in Canberra this time but I doubt I would have gone anyway.
Always great to catch up with KC Folks... but The Bus Stop, Berry and Old Bar are better for what I like in an event.
