Well take 3 on this event happened and a great day with sunshine and cool breeze blowing from the bay. A good turn out and as always happens with this event, some noticeable absentees, some new faces, swap meet down on sellers but VW's to look at. Good roll out of Golf's but the owners hung around them and gave up trying to take a snap or 3 as just wasn't working - a '76 Golf won President's Choice and 2 other trophies but it was nice. Baja's and Buggies also turned up but interest lost with snapping by this stage. A lonesome T3 Camper - Tidy T3 SC owned by club member - Trakkadu - Another tidy T3 -
Some Type 2's - More Type 2's and crowd - Marcus's SC (Trophy Winner) and the rear of Cornish's Camper - More Bay's by the Bay -
And more Bays - Bugs - the matt green one in the front right corner changes colour every couple of years - 3 generations - More Bugz -
Don't interrupt me while I'm trying to fight with an aggro computer and misbehaving internet while trying to post these
Dapom parked on the road - This T3 was from the UK doing a round the world trip ..... a young bloke playing guitar and busking - and one of his guitars -
Tried to get a couple of pictures froma higher point - if you call a metre up helpful - And that's all folks - too many people to contend with to get too involved with single shots.
Photographic evidence that Bernard made it there! Was great to meet you Bert and stu...hopefully catch you again and meet a few more of the people on here
God the Fasty looks good. Even at a distance it stands out. Shame I could not join you folks, But I had a kid free weekend in Byron with friends that we were not going to miss for anything.
Don't blame for that Brad grab every chance you get I say they don't come around often !!! Hope to catch up with you guys at Canungra ??
Thanks Paul - took me 40 minutes to fill out the form once I'd parked as had numerous people just want to talk about him or compare notes with their Type3.
Can't help with numbers doug - I'd guess about 120 cars on the grass for the Show'nShine and plenty more parked on the streets. Possibly old dubber could confirm Great turn out with people driving past and pulling over to have a walk around then continue on their Sunday drive
