    Hi KC members,
Well, the black hole that was the website outage effected more than Covid lockdown. I didn’t know I was so attached to the club and website until it was gone. It was the ultimate “Ghosting”. Thanks for coming back into my life!!:)

I cant take all the credit but gave it a red hot try to get things back on track. We have some very passionate members who want this forum to continue and we are going to try and make sure it doesn't happen again.

I'll drink to that Melissa! Sorry I can't help as 85 year old pen and pencil blokes seem to be a trifle over come when the new magic things give up the ghost.

Sorry, can somebody please explain why the outage occurred? Hunting last week, I found an entrepreneur selling "time expired domain names" offering kombiclub.com for sale (don't ask the price). Love my volksie, love this forum, love an honest answer. Please?

yeh I could have bought it as well
    Someone didn't pay the rent
I think we need to take over as a cohort to ensure it doesn't happen again

Oversight by some, caused the technical hitch………. Melissa worked overtime to get it back up, and I’m sure is working on a longer term solution, to hopefully ensure it doesn’t happen again.

Meanwhile, currently no lock down for KC! :)

I'll leave that for admin to answer;).

I also saw that 'expired add' but just couldn't do it for my love of this site.

You could have bought the 'opportunity' if it was not renewed.

'Taking over' is fraught with problems re 'who has ownership':(.

I'm just going to set a reminder for 4.7.2022 to check if renewal has happened by Roy from The Bus Stop:D.

I'd guess the domain name is registered to the business so it becomes whom owns the business if Roy is not here & I guess that be the boys & his partner & their willingness to continue.

    Posing q???

The domain name could not have been bought by anyone unless Roy decided to sell it and it’s not necessarily associated with a business.

The site was “parked” until the expired renewal costs were paid up.
There’s a lot of bs floating around about buying expired domain names.
It’s not as simple as some make out….
There are brokers out there that will negotiate on your behalf and that’s where the $185.00 cost comes in.
The original owner retains the name and it is either sold on for an agreed price, or if the renewal is not made, the site stays parked.
    Cheers,
    Mark
