Just take the bulb out and with a small piece of rag on say a smallish paint brush, the cloudy film will simply wipe off.

Try the “no scrub” method - pour in some metho, swill around, then empty and allow to dry. ;)

    Yep.
Most things remove the very thin layer of silver rather rapidly in my experience :(

So it's metho in, with 'glass down', to clean & exit metho, without hitting inside reflector with the metho.

    Cheers

And the hard part is getting the metho out after cleaning without resorting to flipping it over.

Suppose you just leave it till it evaporates

That would work but maybe the gunk in the metho would settle on the glass still. In the middle. Maybe make a great eyeball!

I just swirl around some cheese cloth, works a treat and lights are ready to install right away without waiting for metho to evaporate.

Maybe the newer reflectors in T3 lights are tougher than those older sensitive bay ones....? o_O

Metho didn’t seem to damage my tough T3 reflectors, if anything, they are brighter than before the process.

probably stopped using silver and started using the lesser reflective chrome
put on any non metallic surface by covering with graphite.

    LOVE the Postal Flares!!!

Really liking those Land Rove mirrors- but putting something British on my van would just irk me.
I’m sure oil would start dripping out.
(Hmmm ....... it IS a VW??)

Also trying to work out what you need to do to break up the “white van” look.
    (Yellow stripe is so yesterday)

Would you put them on your van if you didn't know they where from a Land Rover.
