The T2 Dual Cab, the T3 Caravelle, the T2 Microbus & the T3 SC have all shared the brewing hall @ carried the equipment & product :p

I've no issue with not having one & it is not a requirement of membership to have one o_O

No not a requirement for KC and so it should not be. However perhaps home brew isnt really a subject matter for a topic of "What did you do to your Kombi today" I know you and others have a passion for home brew so why not start a thread dedicated to that.

I’m taking out the workhorse racks and clamps out on Thursday , to transform to cruise mode next weekend. :)

Source please Phil. Gave up a few years back as local sources said no and I was not keen on an OS order for only a few euro.

Fun job today replacing the scissor lifters on the poptop. Not as easy as I thought but learning on each one.

The original lifters now 45 years old and the nylon rollers are non existent.

New lifter we’re almost the same and some minor adjusting was required. The blue strap was used to slowly release the tension and safely move it into position under the roof.

Job done and fastened into position.

Took about 2 hours for each one. The old bolts, screws and fasteners were rusted and had to be removed with grinder or drilled out. The new lifters take considerable effort to close the lid but all in all I’m satisfied with the result. :)
Anyway I have some old lifters if anyone wants them (FOC). The nylon rollers and pin will need to be replaced but could be done now they are off the camper.

Fitted the new front seatbelts in Josie - couldn't wear a white or light shirt without getting a dirty mark and got a new set from JustKampers.

Today I replaced the rubber blanking grommets below the windscreen, and this is probably the dullest update on this thread :)

The new fridge arrived today for Josie. We dont have gas and just got a normal 240v small bar fridge - really good fit and quite cheap. Cheaper if I wanted white or silver - but I went for black - whatever happened to woodgrain like our old little $25 garage sale special?
