Daytime temps . Dont panic :)
    Clear sky and sunny.
Almost rising from my hibernation and looking at doing some kombi repairs .
Been trying to get a big aggro python out of a type 3 so I can get the stuck seats out .
New gun laws have a lot to answer for .

    And note it's C not F. ;)

Becs mum and dad are at maroochydore. Been skiting about 30 degrees. Becs reply started with f and ended in off and the middle was definitely not firetruck.

You want to shoot it because it has good taste as to where it resides?? We only have tiger, brown and copper heads around here.

    What a week!
Rebuilt auto trans arrived Tuesday last week. To much to do to get Bec off to sunny Qld friday. Spent weekend with folks for Fathers day/oldmans birthday.
Got home Sunday arvo. Notch up on stands, unplug, unbolt, all undone except CV Joints! Haven't got the right torx driver. Argh!
Monday morning, borrow torx socket, get engine and trans out, swap trans/diff for new one, all back in by mid evening. Too late and knackered to put oil in.
Do fluids Tuesday morning, no 17mm socket key for Diff fill plug, go borrow one. All fired up by lunch!
Until now I never realised that the little bugger actually has some grunt. The old box must be shagged.
All this while trying to get gear organised at the last minute for Dubs By The River on the weekend!

Got the roof lining replaced in the 2001 Beetle. Noticed an ad on Facebook the other night called Repair Bull. They were advertising they come to your house with a 5 year guarantee. Sent them a message asking for a quote, got a reply the next morning - $290 with new foam and fabric, fitted in 1-2 hours. I thought this was a pretty good deal. They came Saturday morning, had the job done in an hour and I am really happy with the result. Now I just have to work up the courage to do the arm rest panels in the front doors - they are fabric too and need replacing.

Got full set of new tyres on the Touareg. They are an odd size on the R5 - 255/60/17 so a bit limited in choice - ended up with another set of Pirellis at $1K - ahh the joys of owning cars.
