Used the Touareg to tow the red $150 Beetle to the mechanic - it's motor has been sitting there waiting for them to have the time to fit it. Fingers crossed it will be ready next week.

The convertible had it's cream leather seats removed and swapped for some black leather ones. I love it!! This week, I have a motor trimmer replacing the roof. I also worked on the $150 beetle cleaning the carpets and seats.

    Awesome stuff Mel.

Great to see that beetle back on the road.

Never hard to spot a Vee Dub lovers house - we make it a bit obvious

Yes! The roof with more air miles than me! Sent from the USA, returned to the USA and then returned to Australia again. Trimmer was impressed with the quality and fit.

Picked up the 60 series Landcruiser from mechanic after a heart transplant. Had the engine for a few years waiting waiting! Thought I would delegate and all good. Changeover with new clutch, hoses and belts etc. Drive home without the puffs of blue oil smoke trailing behind. Much betterer!

Have you now inherited the $150 beetle?

Looks much better in your hands though. My neighbours kids were definitely not looking after it.

No, I let my son take this one on - I just helped clean it. He has been driving it on the freeway to work - next is getting the paint sorted. Typical problem with these is the clear coat on the plastic parts goes first.

New windscreen fitted today on the convertible - thank you Shannons! Had new wiper blades fitted too.

Being a convertible, the windscreen is considered structural and this crack was getting worse.

The pod trailer that we bought earlier in the year that has never been used. Have not even put the number plate on it!

    Not long now Mel…….;)
I use an old kombi cover over mine……breathable is good as it helps stuff dry out after heavy rain.

This one couldn't go in the "What mde me happy thread, so I had to dig through and find this one
Got sick of the brake fluid soaking the carpet and pedals in the Hino motorhome, so stripped out the dash to find the cause, leaking hoses from the tank to the brake and clutch cyl. Forget about trying to get the genuine hose, got some clear hose from Bunnings and those plastic ratchet clips. Fitted it up today, a ltr of fluid to get it all bleed out, sat down for a coffee feeling very pleased with myself ... wife asked what the puddle was that appeared to be growing under the Hino ..... ratchet clips don't seem to be up to the task ....., so an icream container of sawdust under the Hino to soak up the puddle and try again tomorrow with some worm drive clamps
