    With built in toast warmer……
Had one when I was growing up.
No knobs or dials, no mechanised lift, just a simple, functional toaster ;)
    Cheers,

Honey Joys, Chocolate Crackles, Fairy Bread. And my mums chocolate cake which is more like a slice made with crushed biscuits, cocoa, butter and sultanas and topped with icing and coconut. Hyperactive caused by diet!!! ;)

BITD, well 1978, all the housemates went out, l was watching the cricket. I was on the Marrakesh Express. I smoked a heap. I got the munchies. I went and made fruit n yoghurt, toast and muesli. I went back into watch the cricket eating all these foods.

After a while they came back, turns out they'd been gone a long time, and they said, "What's the smell?" This smell went all thru the house every room. We couldn't find nothing; we were all stoners.

The cricket was coming to the end of the second session and, all of a sudden, l go, "My toast!!!"; like five hours later . I raced out to the kitchen and opened the side flaps of the toaster and in unison two pieces of very thin carbon went poof!

I was banned from the kitchen for a few days
