i was just in awe at some of these machines, loved cruising along and everyone checking us out!!!! Even more than usual!
Thanks to Markus for organising today - I hope this will be the first of many more club trips to come. it was great to meet and talk with so many Kombi enthusiasts and see all those great busses all in the one location. Today was our first outing with our van Tobe (the red & white one) and he made it home safe and sound. Thanks all Paul & Yol Here are a few photos from today.
mmmmm, up to 67% photo's loaded.....still waiting. :wtf: For me, today was like riding a roller-coaster....didn't know whether to ride up front, in the middle or at the tail  The view in the mirrors was awesome - kombis as far as you could see!! Thanks again Paul, I'll be fitting the headlight tomorrow. barf, you,my friend, have a talent with your camera Some great perspectives there. (Particularly like the rear, fish-eye shot. ) Well done son !! Cheers, Mark
Barf that is a great shot of my rear.... I apologise I didn't actually meet you. had a ball though, see you at the next one
Ok, so Steve,Frank & myself met up at Geoff's, where we spent way too much time ogling his collection, before heading to Heathcote. Geoff was always looking back to see where we all were.... Cruising the Seacliff..... The run down from Bald Hill
One of the few times Geoff was behind me .... The young lady that stole the show...Zoe. Nice pooch Markus ! Next time I'll bring mine - they'd've had a ball together. Lunch time grazing.. Ditto..
The Lighthouse gathering...the end of the road.. Mug shot...( & no, that seagull didn't...... ) All up, a brilliant day. I think the rain was repelled by all the Rainex fumes emanating from the windscreens Cheers, 'till next time. Mark
Hay Mark Nice picies mate Its was a great day and I did enjoy catching up and meet some new members !
What a good day out!! Thanks to Marcus & Amber for planning and organising the cruise, well done. We explored an area that we haven't seen before. Is a very scenic part of the world, and some great beaches. Was nice to catch up with everyone and meet some new faces too. There were many awesome Kombis there today, lots of hard work to get them in that condition. Most of the shots have been covered, so Im putting up a few different ones only bliss is 'Geoff and his ute' the harbour area Bulli Beach
Hey Frank, nice pics. Gotta share what I overheard at the lighthouse. Owner of a WRX was on the mobile to a mate as I walked passed & was talking in a really animated, excited voice, " bro, yas gotta get down to the lighthouse...... there's kombis everywhere,.... heaps of 'em, ......it's sick as mate.......get here quick before they go....." True story......pretty much sums up the day I reckon. Cheers, Mark
Nice story Mark ...was a good day out for sure - when Kim sees all the photos he's going to think he should have come along, I bet. Hey Geoff... I think you made the old camera work too hard, I agree, time for a new one
Yes, he's sorry he missed it...but as I head off to bed, I'm really happy that he'll experience it all some time soon...... Cheers, Mark
Hi Markus/all. Thanks for a great day today. Learnt lots, met heaps of wonderful Kombi people and their support crews, had a spectacular drive. Gotta love KC get togethers especially when the rain holds off. Cheers Mouse
