Including Amanda & Harrison's T3, we had 26 Kombis yesterday! Great turn out If Kai didn't have his Uni thing on, and another member didn't have the 'flu & there were another couple of last minute 'couldn't make - it's' - we would have cracked 30 Kombis! I think it was such a success, I might schedule another 'Gong Cruise in late Summer - we can crack 30+ Kombis..... OK, off to work. Those students won't teach themselves to drive boats and ride Jet Skis...
top day, and as far as i'm aware no breakdowns, brake failures or snapped clutch cables around the mountain. thanks for the trip markus. next time we'll call upon the surf gods so i can get my board wet.
Hey Nath.....Paul,Mick..? & yourself were all in shot UNTIL I pointed my camera at you & it seems you all went camera shy.....a person could be forgiven for thinking that something "socially unacceptable" had just happened & you were the closest  btw, your vid. wouldn't play.....something about being a "private" video....? ( You sure you had the right folder open...... ) Have to acknowledge Mouse's effort. Well done Dave, you had a long haul getting there & back. I'm sure you'll agree it's all worth it. Hard to believe that there were only 26 in the convoy.....when we were cruising through Coledale, it felt as though there were 50 of us !! Cheers, Mark
Hi everyone Great Kombi Kruze on Saturday was great catching up with everyone. Here are a few piccies from the day. DJ and Steve https://picasaweb.google.com/harry2430/20111029TheGong?authkey=Gv1sRgCLC69rXZ14KUXA
great idea to have the run , good to meet a few new peoples n check out shiney busses that get driven ha ha , seem to be a bit biased on pics even though I own more bays than splits
Best part of the day for me was winding down the hills , head out the windows just listening to the music that is Kombis down a mountain
Great day! What a fantastic day the family had cruising through the northern burbs of the Gong. It was terrific to watch people stop and watch from the footpaths the kombi chain go through. Photos have been great to look at. Here's a few more we took as a Kombi role call. Enjoy.
Great pics from everyone. One thing I have confirmed after this weekend is I am definitely purchasing one, maybe two (one front - one back) of these to mount when in a convoy http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/150686108431?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Meeting up ...a scenic trip....and a coffee stop along the way. I heard one or two of the Kombi owners heard from the locals there were a bunch of VW's down at Bulli so zoomed down to catch up with us to find out what was going on. What a great ride!
Sorry I couldnt make it up guys... had a development or two at the store thats meant ive had to work the past 7 days straight. Hopefully tho I shall catch up with some of you at Currarong? Glad it ended up being a good turnout anyway.
screaming i couldnt make this event, we spent the weekend at The Entrance for my daughters 3rd birthday. looks like a fantastic turnout, will not miss this run again.
